About the Author

Boakai Boley

Boakai Fofe Boley was born on December 10, in Barnesville Montserrado County, Liberia. He joined the exodus of Liberian refugees to Sierra Leone in 1990 during the civil war. Back home in 1995 due to the intensification of the Sierra Leonean civil war, the author begun writing articles and essays on war and it’s negative impacts. He read these articles at programs and public gatherings.

On the 16th of November 2000, he was overwhelmingly elected Vice President of the student council government of the B.W. Harris Episcopal High School (the Spartans Kingdom). On the 12 of May 2001, he was awarded as the most versatile student within the Republic of Liberia by the Ministry of Education and the Millennium Boys Organization.
